Welcome to the Spirit of Kintsugi website. Allow me to introduce myself as an individual as well as my business.
My name is Jerica Brechae and I am the creator and visionary behind Spirit of Kintsugi. Born a sun sign in Pisces with Mercury in Aquarius (huh? lol), avenues that stimulate creative, innovative and eclectic approaches have always been a preference of mine.
I initially started my creative outlets in the field of fashion design and merchandising but after settling down and becoming a mommy, of two, I decided to go for a field to better fit my new lifestyle. While in the midst of my spiritual journey, I began to realize how much I enjoyed exploring and experiencing other cultures, faiths, healing modalities and forms of divination. It was through my study of astrology and more specifically, generational astrology, I began to see trends of trauma regarding the Pluto in Scorpio generation, also known as, the millennials. This astrological research absolutely piqued my interest in helping millennials to heal emotionally and spiritually. In addition to astrological studies, I took a liking to a Japanese concept I came across during my journey; the concept is called Kintsugi. Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken objects by using gold to join the pieces back together; kin, meaning gold and tsugi, meaning joint. Kintsugi holds the symbolism healing and resilience. The idea is the broken object accepts the brokenness of its past and when that brokenness is put back together with gold, the gold representing the healing and lessons learned, the object is now more valuable and worth more than it was prior to its brokenness. You see where I'm going there? This philosophy really encapsulates the type of healing I believe millennials thirst for. When marrying the concept of Kintsugi with my mission (to serve as a vessel for inspiration to flow from Spirit to humanity in hopes that by doing so, humanity, as individuals and collectively, feel accepted, understood, whole, healed and nurtured)
the Spirit of Kintsugi was born.
Today, I am a single mother of two and rising entrepreneur. Along with running Spirit of Kintsugi (as a certified Reiki Master Practitioner of the Mikaou Usui lineage), I practice as a certified Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner as well as educating others on metaphysical healing modalities such as Astrology, Tarot and Transpersonal Hypnotherapy. I am an avid crystal collector and in my free time I enjoy watching movies, video gaming, meditating, studying spirituality, philosophy, esoteric & natural sciences through quantum physics and spending time with family and friends.
My Certifications:
Integrative Healing Arts Practitioner (via SWIHA)
Usui Method Reiki Master (via Beacons of Change)

The name Spirit of Kintsugi comes from the marrying of my personal approach to spirituality with the ancient Japanese healing concept of Kintsugi.
Here is the breakdown of the etymology for Spirit of Kintsugi:
1) Spirit: Spirit derives from the Latin word Spiritus, meaning, breath or life; breath of life. Without the ability to breathe, we cannot sustain life here on Earth. And so, for me, Spirit and God (the creator) are one and the same; that which animates all things.
2) Kintsugi: In Japanese, Kin means gold and Tsugi means joint. Together, Kintsugi means golden joint. Kintsugi is the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken objects by using gold to join the pieces back together. Kintsugi holds the symbolism healing and resilience. The idea is that the broken object accepts its past and all the while becomes more beautiful and more precious than before.
With this understanding, what I am saying to my clients is this:
My mission is to serve as a vessel for inspiration to flow from Spirit to humanity in hopes that by doing so, humanity, as individuals and collectively, feel accepted, understood, whole, healed and nurtured.
My vision is to create space for humanity to undergo positive, life-changing encounters and experiences through spiritual and transformational mentoring, intuitive readings, hypnotherapy and energy healing.
I am so excited to be a part of your journey and testimony and I look forward to working with you.
Be blessed and in balance with your shadow and your light! Namaste.
